Denise Lajimodiere appointed ND Poet Laureate May 16, 2023 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment Last month, Denise Lajimodiere, who was a spring semester short-term resident writer at the Collegeville Institute, was selected to be the Poet Laureate of North Dakota. She is a citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band in Belcourt, North Dakota, and is an accomplished poet, writer, and academic.

Our 28 resident scholars for this year came from far and wide as Singapore, and as close by as Minneapolis. They included professors, artists, activists, religious leaders, and writers.
