Denise Lajimodiere appointed ND Poet Laureate May 16, 2023 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment Last month, Denise Lajimodiere, who was a spring semester short-term resident writer at the Collegeville Institute, was selected to be the Poet Laureate of North Dakota. She is a citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band in Belcourt, North Dakota, and is an accomplished poet, writer, and academic.

It took place from April 16 - 23. Our 28 resident scholars for this year came from far and wide as Singapore, and as close by as Minneapolis. They included professors, artists, activists, religious leaders, and writers.
