Publishing for the Public with Katelyn Beaty October 20, 2025 By Event Details Date(s): Thursday, Jun 25th, 2026-Tuesday, Jun 30th, 2026 Venue: Collegeville Institute Categories: Writing Workshop In this workshop, Brazos Press editorial director and author Katelyn Beaty will speak to the public dimensions of writing in the Internet era, looking at how writers can effectively share their work online as well as how online spaces shape, for good and for ill, the craft of writing. In particular, this workshop will look at Substack as a more fruitful publishing platform for emerging writers than other social media platforms that incentivize non-written content. The Collegeville Institute will cover travel expenses to and from the workshop within the continental United States, all workshop fees, and room and board. International travel costs, and travel from Hawaii and Alaska may be shared between the Collegeville Institute and the workshop participant.
