Due to a renovation project, the Collegeville Institute is now accepting Resident Scholar applications for fall semester only (September 1 through December 18, 2020).

The priority deadline for the Fall 2020 program is Friday, November 1, 2019.

About the Program

Hopwood, Barbara (4)Scholars participating in a Short Term Residency are invited to the Collegeville Institute for three weeks or more from September through April. These scholars come from diverse professions and backgrounds including academics, writers, clergy, pastors, church leaders, potters, musicians, artists, print-makers, song-writers, thinkers, novelists, corporate leaders, and many others.

Short-term residents come to the Collegeville Institute to study, create, or renew their passions and projects. The program offers a variety of experiences and emphases depending upon the needs of the person. A short-term stay gives residents the time and space to begin thinking anew. It provides a perfect occasion to devote a concentrated period of effort and energy to a project. Dust-off the novel you started years ago. Complete the lyrics of your song. Finish that tough chapter. Redesign your corporate committees. Think. Create. Enjoy.
