Collegeville Institute alumni featured in Church Anew event May 5, 2023 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment Collegeville Institute alum Kate Bowler signing books at the event. On Sunday, April 23, the Collegeville Institute joined Church Anew in in co-sponsoring “An Evening with Kate Bowler”. Kate, a Collegeville Institute writing workshop alum and now New York Times best-selling author, credits the Collegeville Institute with helping her write for the public. “The Collegeville Institute gave me the structure and support I needed to be brave”, she said. The next day, on Monday, April 24, the Collegeville Institute and Church Anew hosted Renew, a curated retreat to renew spirits and reform the way we look at our world. Interspersed among short-form, curated talks was time for worship, reflection, conversation, and recreation. The Collegeville Institute was well represented at this two-day event by program alums Dr. Deanna Thompson, Rev. Angela Khabeb, Rev. Andrea Roske-Metcalfe, and Dr. Kate Bowler. Clearly the Collegeville Institute has been making an impact! It was truly a wonderful event.
