Father Kilian’s Platinum Jubilee

The Saint John’s Abbey monastic community honored Father Kilian McDonnell, O.S.B., on the occasion of his platinum (70) jubilee on the feast day of Saint Benedict, July 11, 2016. Fr. Kilian, who became a monk in 1945, is a noted scholar, author, and teacher, as well as the founder of the Collegeville Institute in 1967. In his long career, Fr. Kilian has not only pioneered ecumenical dialogue and scholarship, but also published six books of poetry.
