Saint John’s Abbey Holds Mass of Blessing and Thanksgiving for Abbot Douglas Mullin February 1, 2024 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment On Tuesday, January 9, Abbot Douglas Mullin, OSB was elected as the 11th Abbot of Saint John’s Abbey. On Sunday, January 28, a public Mass of Blessing and Thanksgiving was offered in the Saint John’s Abbey and University Church in Collegeville, MN. Bishop Patrick Neary, C.S.C., Bishop of the Diocese of Saint Cloud, MN, presided and conferred on the new abbot the abbatial blessing, affirming the support of the Church. Martin Wells, Collegeville Institute Acting Executive Director, proclaimed the Second Reading from the Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians during the Mass.
