Writing Workshops Are Back In Person June 16, 2022 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment Workshop participants took a break from writing to visit Milk and Honey Ciders in St. Joseph, MN. From June 7 – 16, 2022, the Collegeville Institute hosted Apart, and Yet a Part: A Workshop with Writing Coach Michael N. McGregor, its first in-person writing workshop after two summers of virtual writing workshops due to the COVID pandemic. The workshop provided independent, unstructured work in community for spiritual writers, as well as the opportunity to work with a writing coach. The program is open to advanced writers whose work involves matters of faith and aims to reach a broad reading audience. One participant reflected: “Michael is a gem, concisely cutting to what needs done and offering comments in a constructive way that is helpful. He is a master at his craft and generous in his pulling others up.” “[The workshop] was a complete gift from beginning to end,” another participant wrote in their evaluation. “The schedule full of luxurious time for writing, the community building with other writers, the stunning hospitality, and the beauty of the land.
