Welcome to our 2016 Student Workers

June 30, 2016 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment

One thing that continually comes up in our workshop evaluations is the care and attention that Collegeville Institute staff provide our guests. From a well-stocked fridge in the Butler Center to clean and comfortable apartments, our workshops could not run without the hard work and cheerful spirits contributed by our summer workers. Below we’d like to introduce you to our 2016 summer workers—Hannah, Elise, Anja, Chris, and Joe. Be sure to greet them in person when you’re next in Collegeville!

HannahI’m Hannah, a Texas girl living in a Minnesota world. I’m a junior studying for a Bachelors in Nursing at the College of Saint Benedict. When I’m not busy reading every single word of a science textbook, you can find me embracing my two greatest passions, eating avocados and snuggling with my puppy. I also have a passion to travel, hoping to visit every continent (including Antarctica) in my lifetime.
EliseHi! My name is Elise. I was born in Illinois, but now I live in a small town near Collegeville. This spring I graduated from Saint John’s Preparatory School and in the fall I will be attending Macalester College. In my free time I enjoy reading, endurance horse racing, writing, swimming, and camping.
AnjaHello! My name is Anja and I am excited to be one of the assistants this year. I’ve lived in Saint Joseph most of my life and here is where I call home. After graduating from Saint John’s Preparatory School, I will be attending the College of Saint Benedict in the fall. I’m hoping to major in biology while staying active in theater.
ChrisHi! My name is Chris. I grew up in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Saint John’s University, in 2011. I’m studying for a Masters in Divinity and pursuing a career as a hospital chaplain. I enjoy going to school in the forest. I also enjoy cooking and hosting friends at my apartment.

joeHi! I am Joe, a transplanted Louisiana man spending a few years in Minnesota studying theology at Saint John’s University. Besides my love for theology and philosophy, I am a long distance runner that does not think twice about a twenty mile training run on the weekend. During my downtime I enjoy a great cup of coffee, a tasty craft beer, or a good movie.
