Spring Scholars Convene for Final Gathering May 1, 2022 By Collegeville Institute 2 Comments Drone photo courtesy of George Maurer For 55 years, the Collegeville Institute’s Resident Scholars program has fostered thoughtful, interesting, and honest conversations about our place in God’s wondrous creation. This year, we welcomed pastors, professors, a poet, a composer, and a CEO to participate in these discussions. Nestled in a quiet corner on campus, our residents shared seminars, songs, yoga sessions, prayers, and meals together as they developed friendships, enjoyed each other’s cooking, and supported each other’s work, scholarship, and artistry. At the end of April, scholars held their final gathering for the semester at the Butler Center, marking the end of the 2021-22 Resident Scholars program. In addition to taking a drone picture together (courtesy of artist-in-residence, George Maurer), the scholars, guests, student workers, and Collegeville Institute staff closed-out the evening with prayer and hymn of farewell.
