Virtual Conference on Science and Theology July 12, 2017 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment The 4th Virtual International Conference on the Dialogue between Science and Theology is currently seeking papers. The conference, which will be held online November 3 – 10, 2017, is seeking original, unpublished work related to the dialogue between science and technology. All submitted papers will be referred by the international scientific committee. Early-bird Full-paper Submission Deadline: August 30, 2017 Regular Deadline: October 1, 2017 Conference Scope The International Conference on the Dialogue between Science and Theology provides a forum for physicians, healthcare providers, neurologists, robotic engineers, sociologists, psychologists, practitioners and researchers of any domain tangential to the current subject to gain a deeper and more practical understanding of how religion relates to the practice of medicine, with particular attention to Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, and Islamic traditions. Participants will have opportunities to learn from leading scholars in the field of religion, psychology, and neuroscience, as well as to consider how what they learn applies to their own practices of medicine and sociology. As a result of participating in this conference, attendees will be better able to make sense of the moral, ethical, and spiritual dimensions of their practices of medicine, be better able to integrate their own spirituality into their care of patients, and be more knowledgeable about how their own work can be considered a true vocation, rather than merely a job. Further details on the application process and guidelines are available at the DIALOGO Conference website. Like this post?
