Resident Scholars Settle into Fall September 15, 2014 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment We have a full house of resident scholars at the Collegeville Institute this fall. From accomplished scholars near the end of their formal careers to post-doctoral fellows beginning their professional academic lives, this diverse group of scholars includes practical theologians, musicians, administrators, historians, literature professors, and clergy. They come from all over the United States as well as England, Slovakia, and Russia. Semester rhythms are underway, as the scholars gather for reflection, prayer, and fellowship in between periods of study and solitude. They have already gathered for various orientations, prayer with the monks, a seminar on sabbatical, a campus welcome lunch, and a potluck, and there are plenty more events to come. We are looking forward to each scholar’s seminar presentation as well as his/her public contribution to the larger community during residency at the Collegeville Institute. Like this post?
