Enjoy the Gift of Poetry—Give now! An exclusive offer for our donorsDecember 9, 2014 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment Fr. Kilian McDonnell, O.S.B. As many of you know, at the age of 75, after a career as a theologian and ecumenist, Fr. Kilian McDonnell, O.S.B. decided to turn his hand to poetry. And in the following years he has made his mark. Sojourners magazine said flatly, “This is religious poetry in its highest form.” According to America magazine, “It is no surprise that [McDonnell] draws inspiration from Seamus Heaney, Emily Dickinson and Robert Hass. They would welcome him as a brother on the road.” This fall we mark the publication of Kilian’s fifth book of poetry, Aggressive Mercy. To celebrate this event we have collected Kilian’s poetry in an elegant, slip-covered, limited edition which we offer exclusively to donors to the Collegeville Institute. (This offer ended June 30, 2015) For a donation of $100 or more you will receive an autographed collected set of all five of Fr. Kilian’s books of poetry published to date. If you already own copies of Kilian’s poetry, consider giving this handsome collection as a gift! This offer is made possible by a generous, anonymous donation to the Collegeville Institute intended to honor Kilian, advance appreciation of his poetry, and raise funds for the Collegeville Institute which Kilian lovingly founded 47 years ago. This collected edition is valued at $99.95. make an online gift Like this post? Subscribe to have new posts sent to you by email the same day they are posted.
