Welcome to our 2015 Summer Workers

June 12, 2015 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment

2015 summer workersIf you’ve ever participated in a summer writing workshop at the Collegeville Institute, you know that our workshops could not run without the hard work and cheerful spirits contributed by our summer workers. Below we’d like to introduce you to our 2015 summer workers—Carissa, Joe, Denise, and Jess. Be sure to greet them in person when you’re next in Collegeville!

CarissaMy friends call me Carissa – I’m a senior Global Business Leadership Major at the College of Saint Benedict. I’m from Sauk Rapids, MN and enjoy spending my spare time in all sorts of water: pools, beaches, oceans, ponds, puddles and most often, playing in the rain. London stole my heart during my study abroad experience in the Fall of 2014. I hope to live there again someday.
JoeHi! I am Joe, a transplanted Louisiana man spending a few years in Minnesota studying theology at Saint John’s University. Besides my love for theology and philosophy, I am a long distance runner that does not think twice about a twenty mile training run on the weekend. During my downtime I enjoy a great cup of coffee, a tasty craft beer, or a good movie.
DeniseHi! My name is Denise, I’m a California native here in Collegeville, MN studying at the School of Theology at Saint John’s University. In my spare time enjoy reading and spending time with positive energy-focused colleagues and friends.
Jess“J” is for jaunty – confidence is key. “E” is for environment – I hope to save the world from global warming. “S” is for service – volunteering is a passion of mine. “S” is for spring – I like rain. “I” is for inner beauty – be yourself, there’s no one around that’s more you, than you. “C” is for climbing – hiking is kind of fun. “A” is for adventures – take me anywhere and everywhere, the world is a place to be explored. Jessica – That’s me – but I like to be called Jess.
