On July 24-30, the Collegeville Institute hosted Writing Beyond the Academy: A Week with Professor and Writer Michael N. McGregor. This writing workshop was geared for academics who wish to reach a broader audience with their work. Over the course of five days, participants met together for group sessions, as well as with workshop facilitator Michael N. McGregor for one-on-one feedback. One participant reflected that the workshop taught them that “popular writing puts people at the center” and that it spurred them to consider “who I want to be as a writer.” When asked about their experience with Michael N. McGregor, another participant wrote: “He was personable, versatile, and very resourceful.” Another described him as “the best… he gave me very good feedback which will stay with me for a long time.” Like this post?
