Five Pastor-Writers Awarded Grant from Austin Seminary July 3, 2014 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment Five participants (Arianne Lehn, Brooke Heerwald Steiner, Deborah Lewis, Lori Raible, and Sarah Scherschligt) from the 2013 Working Pastor, Writing Pastor writing workshop were selected as a cohort in Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary’s grant program, the College of Pastoral Leaders. Their cohort is called “The Wholly Writers,” and they describe themselves as follows: We are an ecumenical group of ordained female pastors, committed to writing as part of our pastoral work and identities. As we claim our writing voices and discern how they can benefit the greater Church, we need committed and communal support to integrate writing into our whole lives. Deborah Lewis say, “Thanks to the Collegeville Institute for first bringing us together and for the deep encouragement for our writing.
