Collegeville Institute welcomes Andrew McNeil as its new Director of Communications.

March 11, 2025 By Collegeville Institute Leave a Comment

The Collegeville Institute (CI) is pleased to
announce Andrew McNeil as the new Director of Communications for CI.

McNeil brings over eight years of experience in digital marketing, public affairs, and
strategic communication, which helps reinforce CI’s commitment to bringing people of
diverse backgrounds and perspectives together and fostering healing through the power
of religious ideas, insights, and practices.

He joined the Collegeville Institute from Alexandria Technical and Community College,
where he served as a digital marketing and communication specialist. While at
Alexandria College, McNeil successfully developed and executed communication
strategies, managed digital platforms, and strengthened relationships with media
partners.

His extensive background also includes serving as a Public Affairs Soldier in the U.S.
Army and Army Reserve, where he mentored and trained soldiers in communication,
media relations, and digital content production.

“I am honored to join the Collegeville Institute and contribute to its rich legacy of
ecumenical dialogue and thought leadership,” McNeil said. “I look forward to enhancing
our communication efforts and engaging with diverse audiences to advance the
Collegeville Institute’s mission.”

McNeil holds a Master of Arts in English Studies from St. Cloud State University and is
currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Digital
Experience and Integrated Marketing Communications at the University of St. Thomas.
McNeil considers himself a lifelong learner. He is constantly looking to expand his
knowledge, he exclaimed. He looks forward to taking the knowledge he has gained over
his years of experience and the skills he is currently learning and applying them to CI
and its mission.

The Collegeville Institute is rooted in the Benedictine tradition of Saint John’s Abbey and
is dedicated to fostering conversations among people of different faith traditions and
perspectives. CI provides a space for theological inquiry and cultural engagement through its Resident Scholars Program, Ecclesial Literature Project, and
other initiatives.

“We are thrilled to welcome Andrew to our leadership team,” said Rev. Martin Wells,
acting Executive Director of the Collegeville Institute. “His passion for communication
and storytelling, combined with his experience in higher education and public affairs, will
help amplify our mission and extend our reach.”
