After a day of attending to the typical business of the board, the board gathered for a social, dinner, and evening program. The program featured George Maurer, musician, composer, and Collegeville Institute spring semester artist-in-residence, who presented Tales from a Piano Bench and a Bicycle Seat: the art of listening in a fractured world. In this presentation, George invoked the first words of The Rule of St. Benedict – “Listen carefully” – and shared how the Benedictine value of listening has shaped his life and spurred him to action. The board ended its time together in an interactive learning session with Team Dynamics co-founder and president, Alfonso Tomás Wenker. Team Dynamics is a People of Color, Woman, and LGBTQ+ owned company focused on helping leaders and workplaces live up to their potential through intentional and meaningful culture change. The Board of Directors will gather again in November for its fall meeting. Like this post? Subscribe to have new posts sent to you by email the same day they are posted.
