Dorothy Bass will present “Words and the Word: The Writer as Seeker and Servant” on Sunday, November 11 as part of Saint John Abbey’s “Sunday at the Abbey” series on Writing as a Spiritual Practice. The presentation is free and open to the public and hosted in the renovated Abbey Chapter House. The presentation will begin at 7 PM and run approximately 45 minutes in length, with a break for light refreshments, followed by 10 to 15 minutes for questions and comments.
Dorothy Bass is director emerita of the Valparaiso Project on the Education and Formation of People in Faith, a Lilly Endowment project based at Valparaiso University that develops resources to help contemporary people live the Christian faith with vitality and integrity in changing times. She is the author of many books on practical theology and is currently working on the second edition Leading Lives that Matter: What We Should Do and Who We Should Be with co-editor Mark Schwehn. She is spending the fall 2018 semester as a Resident Scholar at the Collegeville Institute.
