Attention of the Heart

Could it be that the heart’s attention / is more than electricity and muscle, / but embraces all the worlds in body / and in mind...

It seems I am forever / looking for the thin / place, wishing to glimpse / inside a moment, close enough / to stand sentry to the invisible.

Seeking solitude and silence, I am finding, is not a self-help strategy. If anything, a generous solitude reminds me of what little strength I have.
