I have much more to tell you,
but you cannot bear it now. Jn. 16:12
Words of thunderous love remain,
with wild, seizing lightning
too glorious to find lodging
in the pain you bear this moment.
But search within you for my stillness,
far deeper than the fear that claims you now.
Seek me in the silence
where your heart will dare to hear.

A beautiful poem from my sister in religion and in heart! A poem necessary for the world right now. The pain we know from the violence in our society is truly unbearable, but God is in and among it all. Thank you for sharing these profound words at this time.

Thanks for your poem which moves the heart and spirit. It captures the ache of Jesus’ going and the promise of his remaining. It lifts up the “both-and” of grace and pain that we find in every day’s newsfeed.

A truly moving poem. Thank you Sr. Sally for sharing it with us. You have touched the very core of our pain with the comfort of God.🙏
