Nancy Bowker
Nancy Bowker is a Christian Quaker contemplative. Her personal story of survival from a brain tumor and trauma are embodied in her spontaneous sung a cappella prayers. Her CD of sung prayers, Crossings, was recorded in sacred sites such as Tadao Ando’s Church of Light in Kyoto, Japan. Nancy received her MA from Harvard while studying Human Development. She lived as as long time retreatant at The Monastery of Christ in the Desert. She recently retired from 30 years offering contemplative experiences at a Cathedral in Portland, Maine.
