Mersha Mengistie
Mersha Mengistie is a professor from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia who spent September – November 2012 (project title: Christian Face of Ethiopian Culture with the Mirror of Its Fasts and Feasts) and September - October 2017 (project title: ‘Abǝnnät Tǝmhǝrt: The Oldest Ecclesiastical System of Learning in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church) at the Collegeville Institute as a short-term Resident Scholar and HMML researcher. Currently, he is a senior research fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation based in Hiob Ludolf Center for Ethiopian Studies, University of Hamburg, Germany. He is also serving as the General Secretary of the Germany and Surrounding Areas Diocese of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
