John D. Groppe
John D. Groppe is a Professor Emeritus of English at Saint Joseph’s College, Rensselaer, IN. His poetry has appeared in The National Catholic Reporter, Tipton Poetry Journal, Embers, The Edge of the Prairie, Through the Sycamores and other journals. His poem “The Spire Off the Interstate” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He is listed on Indiana’s bicentennial literary map 1816-2016: 200 Years-200 Writers. He was resident scholar at the Collegeville Institute with his wife and three daughters from Sep. 1969 to Jan. 1970. His poetry collection The Raid of the Grackles and Other Poems is now available on Amazon.
