Jessie Fubara-Manuel
Jessie Fubara-Manuel is a licensed Reverend Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), where she serves as the Gender and Disability Advisor for Presbyterian Community Services and Development, a role that seeks the inclusion of disability and gender concerns in the policy and practice of the church. Presently, Jessie is a PhD student at the School of Divinity, University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Her research examines the role of Christian faith for women who are living with disability and HIV in South-South Nigeria. She is a resource person and facilitator for the World Council of Churches programs on HIV and Disability. She has published two books, several articles and book chapters in the areas of gender, disability, and HIV. She attended the October 2013 "The Writing Pastor" Workshop sponsored by the Collegeville Institute.
