Awakening Theological Imagination in the Congregation A Spiritual Practice of Writing with Karen Hering, July 6-12, 2015July 15, 2015 By Collegeville Institute 2 Comments Awakening Theological Imagination in the Congregation writing workshop participants, 2015 Pastors, religious educators, and others wishing to invigorate theological conversation in their congregations attended the writing workshop, Awakening Theological Imagination in the Congregation: A Spiritual Practice of Writing with Karen Hering at the Collegeville Institute last week. Workshop leader Karen Hering shared, “This was a nimble group that paid attention to each other and to their surroundings and responded in kind. The presentations they made to one another were especially a gift to me, allowing me to see how this spiritual practice of writing adapts to different personalities, styles, gifts, contexts, and theologies.” One participant reflected, “(Karen) inspired me to look at my writing in new ways, (and) modeled facilitation of her process in a way that I could adapt. The graciousness of the time and the space fed me in so many ways and brought me to a qualitatively different place with (my) writing.” Like this post?
