At the Institute
Life at the Institute is a fleshing out of the Benedictine value of moderation. Although scholars and program participants work hard almost every day, the pace of life also includes rest, prayer, exercise, good conversation, engagement in the many cultural offerings of Saint John's University and the College of Saint Benedict, scenic touring, and sharing meals with new friends and scholars. The daily walks to and from the library are enhanced by the flora and fauna encountered along a path through the woods or over a bridge across Stumpf Lake.
